A teenager was arrested Thursday for the murder of a 16-year-old boy in Westbury two weeks ago, Nassau police said.
Cristian Sandoval, 17, chased down Zack Rosales and stabbed him several times on the night of Aug. 7, according to Homicide Squad detectives. Both the victim and the alleged killer are from Westbury.
Rosales was walking on Nassau Street near the corner of Cross Street after seeing a movie when he was approached by eight Hispanic men “calling him the enemy,” police said in a statement. Two men from the group chased the victim and attacked him, police said. In addition to the stabbing, a second suspect, who has yet to be apprehended, struck the victim with a belt buckle.
