The majority of our participants are heroin/opiate users, and despite our success rate of over 75% in the program, this epidemic continues to broaden. Despite our team of a District Court Judge, social workers, probation officers, and a network of treatment providers, we continue to lose this battle. I agree that with the cooperation of school districts, law enforcement, and especially our communities, we can serve as a preventable measure countywide to battle this evil.
