I never said to give anyone anything.

What I did say was if these individuals had an easier-safer way to obtain what they want in life, they would do that instead of being part of a gang.

Fact is current drug laws make gangs and participation in them, very lucrative.

Change the drug the laws to remove the disgustingly easy profits which can be had from the sale of illegal drugs.

That idiot republi-CON-servative president Nixon is responsible for the vast majority of the gang related violence occuring today in this and many other countries. Now the republi-CON-servative answer is simply to buy more guns, more police and more prisions.

After 40 years, drugs are widely available everywhere in this nation. The U.S. jails more of its citizens than any other country onthe planet and most of those have been jailed for drug related crimes.

Gangs will always exist in one form or another. However, they are now prosperous because the republi-CON-servatives in this nation refuse to alter their failed strategy.

If you have a better idea for solving this problem, now would be the time to chime in.

I’m sure you’ve seen the article on handing in illegal weapons and drugs anomonously in exchange for $20 or so. What do you think about that? Is that a safer wealth potential? A gangsters gotta have a lot of guns to make money with that offer.

Individuals join gangs because ganags offer them the best opportunity to obtain wealth.

Remove the profit motive and gangs will disappear.

Provide a greater, safer wealth potential to those who would join a gang and people will stop joining them.
