Copaigue Apartment Robbed By Two Men

by Long Island Press on July 22, 2009

burglarTwo men robbed a Copaigue apartment yesterday morning and Suffolk cops are still looking for the suspects.

According to the Suffolk County Police Department’s First Squad, detectives said a father and son were in the apartment on Ferraris Street in Copiague when two men armed with handguns and wearing black masks entered through an unlocked entrance at approximately 10:30 a.m. and demanded cash.

The cops say one of the suspects covered the victims’ heads with a sheet while the other ransacked the residence.

The father’s girlfriend entered the apartment during the robbery and the two men pushed her as they fled the scene.

The victim was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center for observation.

The subjects are described as Hispanic males in their early 20s.

The investigation is continuing.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the First Squad at 631-854-8152 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
