Some wise men once sang “All you need is love,” and it is a phrase that will always make sense. People want to be with other people. But it’s not easy to find the right one. Is Internet dating your thing? The bar scene? Luckily, Long Island has several reputable and successful matchmaking companies to help you find your new love. And hey, kioli doesn’t just mean buying stuff. Why not keep your love on Long Island, too?

Years in business: We have been making matches for nine years.
What We Do: I am a private matchmaker specializing in singles that live on Long Island, and are marriage or commitment-minded.
How did you get into this business?
I was getting divorced nine years ago and the dating industry was very new to Long Island! I have never been afraid of trying something new and I thank God every day that I gave it a chance.
What is your favorite memory of doing business on LI?
I also have something new—an office in Manhattan—but I love Long Island so much that I will only work in NYC one day a month. I have thousands of great memories working on Long Island.
How are you different from your competition?
I’m the only matchmaker who caters to LI singles who are commitment and marriage-minded. The company has more than 1,000 success stories!
Who is the biggest celebrity you have ever served/done business with?
Jackie “The Jokeman” Martling is my only celebrity client that doesn’t mind me saying he’s a client. My other clients, especially celebrities, require me to keep them private.
What is your best selling item?
I have won the Long Island Press’ Best of Long Island award for matchmaking and I am also the most affordable service, since you deal directly with me and not a sales person on commission.
Tell us about your website.
www.mtnmatchmaking.com will show you how I have perfected the process of finding your partner and doing the hard work of finding you a match that that is compatible, and giving you the fun job of selecting a mate that you have chemistry with.
What’s your favorite thing about living on Long Island?
I am 42 years old and was born and raised on Long Island. After graduating from college in Florida with my B.S. in Marketing and Psychology, I quickly returned to my roots.
What’s your favorite local restaurant?
Jackie Reilly’s Irish Restaurant in Bethpage.
Hamptons or Fire Island?
Hamptons.
Do you have a Long Island accent?
No!
Billy Joel, Mariah or Run DMC?
Billy Joel—I admire him for his devotion and loyalty to Long Island, instead of moving to Hollywood. He respects Long Island for all of its greatness and so do I.
