Are you ready?
Are you ready to put aside the woes and worries of your winter and embrace the newness of spring?
Ready or not, spring is upon us; against all odds of snow, sleet, freezing rains, seemingly endless frigid temperatures and Arctic blasts, spring has indeed sprung!
Have you noticed the buds bulging on the tree branches, or the crocus and daffodils pushing their way through the soil? Without a thought, without a worry or concern that maybe they should hold back, or make certain that the coast is clear, they are simply doing what they are meant to do. They are blooming!
Every season is marked by intrinsic changes that manifest in visible celebration of releasing one thing and welcoming another. Yet, spring somehow affects us so dramatically. We have lightness in our step. We are drawn to the outdoors, and suddenly, our legs want to stretch and walk or run. We eat differently, sleep differently and even socialize differently. Amazingly, even our hearts change. We become softer, and we even talk of “love being in the air!” Suddenly hope fills our minds as possibilities once unseen begin to show themselves, and we find ourselves free to dream of tomorrow. What is it about spring that it just so magical?
Spring is a wonderful lesson in surrender. Its very nature demands that we let go of the old, worn out, and no longer useful. We want out! Out of our houses, out of our offices, out of our cars, out of anything that restricts us or confines us, or holds us back from transforming. Intrinsically, just as all of nature so dramatically teaches us, we know that in allowing change to happen, nature reveals that encoded within us all is simply: It shows us that change is a natural occurrence whose “soul” purpose is to assist us in revealing our next blooming opportunity. How profound the lesson is that in order to really blossom, we must give up control and surrender to the energy of creation, whose very essence is change. We are in fact just surrendering to our own true nature.
Spring is all about being sprung! It is all about giving up the control, as to how or what you think should happen, and surrendering to the endless possibilities just because. Just because…it’s what you are meant to do! Your own internal season will guide you. Of course, you may have to collect and discard some broken branches, rake up some debris that has been stuck in your zone, organically fertilize, or loosen the soil, or you may have to even plant some new seeds. But, ready or not, this is the season for blooming.
Are you ready to surrender to the magic of spring? If so, consider yourself SPRUNG!
